Hazardous wastes can cause substantial threats to our health and the environment. It is important that they are disposed of properly. U.S. residents generate 1.6 million tons of household hazardous waste per year! (1)
You may have hazardous wastes around your house or garage. How do you dispose of them? Do not pour them down the drain, flush them, or put them in the garbage. Bring them to the free community household hazardous waste collection events.
