Salt Lake City Suspends Curbside Collection Due to High Wind
Salt Lake City is cancelling curbside collection service today, Tuesday, December 30. The National Weather Service predicts sustained heavy winds with gusts up to 50 mph through 6 p.m. Due to high winds, emptied bins have become a hazard.
Salt Lake City residents on Tuesday collection schedules are asked to pull their garbage, recycling and composting bins from the curb today and place them back out on Wednesday morning. City crews will collect all missed bins on Wednesday.
Homes scheduled for collection on Wednesday should put their bins out on their regularly scheduled day. Due to the holiday on Thursday, there will be no curbside collection. Residents with regular Thursday collection should place their bins out on Friday. Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
